Robotics KUKA (Germany)
Area of application
Robots KUKA are used in meat industry for cutting, sorting and packing. They also can be used in cheese manufacturing for mixing cheese paste, carrying shapes for cheese, turning over cheese kebbucks, cutting, dividing in portions, packing on pallets.
Market of the frozen semi-finished products (pel'menis, crapes, pies, pizza, prepared products) needs high costs and expenses as at each logistics step cold-resistant equipment is required. Robot which can function in temperatures up to -30 °Ñ, is mostly used in the process of packing semi-finished products in refrigerators. Its system of power supply is specially designed for counted for deep cooling conditions.
There are robots especially designed to work in high hygienic conditions of food industries. Convenient for maintenance and cleaning (owing to its protective shell) robot with all its components of control system and electric equipment is designed to work in high requirements on hygiene. Especially for this purposes the compact robot is done of stainless steel. Its surface provides sterile contact with products and is inert to acids and alkalis.
Equipped by flexible systems of captures for clamping, sucking and input from bottom, individually configured software for packing on pallets, and also the special sensing transducers which sort products by size, weight, material and appearance - robot KUKA can also be used in packing industry.
Robots KUKA are real specialists in logistics, in packing and stacking on pallets, and in debarking pallets in large centers of distribution of merchandises. Standards for robotic systems of automatic debarking from pallets differ from standards of stacking on pallets: scheme of layers is partly unknown or displaced during transportation. Here the use of sensing transducers is necessary. Different operations which were hand-made earlier are now possible to automate. Company KUKA offers simple and effective solution on localization of clamping objects on the basis of standardized components of video processing and software.
